House of Possibilities hosts annual meeting in their new pavilion and outdoor learning center 

Event highlights included a panel with HOPe members and two state citations recognizing HOPe’s efforts to advance inclusive and accessible spaces in Easton

On Monday, October 17, 2022, the House of Possibilities (HOPe) community celebrated a ribbon-cutting of a new 30 foot x 60 foot open-air pavilion and outdoor learning center during the organization’s annual meeting. The event was attended by over 70 people and included HOPe Members, their families, board, staff, and supporters.


Senator Walter Timility, Democrat for Norfolk and Bristol counties presented two citations, one from the State Senate on behalf of Representatives Timility, and Michael D. Brady, and another on behalf of the House of Representatives signed by State Representative Carol Doherty. The citations are in recognition of the grand opening of the new pavilion which will serve as space for day-to-day activities like lunchtime and gardening at HOPe House but also special events. 


At the event, Senator Timilty commented on the pavilion as a reflection and extension of the House of Possibilities mission for inclusion, community access, and innovation: 


“ House of Possibilities has a wonderful mission that elevates us all, not jmemust in the town of Easton but in our entire region. This outdoor learning center is already adding to what is a wonderful institution. We are so proud for what House of Possibilities does for all of us.”


The pavilion ribbon cutting was part of HOPe’s annual meeting to review the successes and innovations of the past year and o  share plans for the future.The new space expands the non-profit’s footprint an additional 1,800 square feet This and is  the first major construction project since HOPe opened its doors in 2009.
