Advocating for our Essential Workforce
HOPe staff and leadership joined The Caring Force Rally held at the Massachusetts State House on May 16th to advocate for change in human services under two important initiatives: livable wages and student loan repayment.
Who are The Caring Force here in MA?*
Nearly 1 in 6 human services workers live below 200% of the federal poverty line, despite 47% having bachelor's or advanced degrees.
78% of the human services workforce is comprised of women and 36% are workers of color.
The median income in human services is $15,000 less than all Massachusetts workers' incomes.
