Join us on August 21 at the Brockton Rox!
Everyone get excited and grab a ticket, because on August 21st, Brockton Rox, Eastern Bank, and the Flutie Foundation for Autism have partnered to host Doug Flutie Night at the Rox! House of Possibilities is invited to the event along with other community organizations, families in the area, and anyone else who wants to support inclusion and raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
Doug Flutie, former NFL quarterback, will be joining the Rox team for one night to take the pitcher’s mound for the game against the Quebec Capitales. Flutie has been a public advocate for the support of ASD, and his foundation funds programs that create opportunities for individuals with autism to grow.
“It's an honor to suit up for the Rox and support the Brockton community,” said Doug Flutie. “While most people know me for what I've done on the football field, I'm excited to take the mound and show what I can bring to the baseball diamond, too. I'm especially grateful to Eastern Bank and the Brockton Rox for turning this event into an opportunity to give back to a cause that's near and dear to my heart. I'm proud to continue working alongside Eastern Bank to 'bring good' to the community.”
The night will also feature a football-inspired challenge, where Doug Flutie and Eastern Bank President Quincy Miller will take the field for a football passing game with huge benefits for House of Possibilities! Each successful pass will represent a different donation level to House of Possibilities—the longer the pass, the larger the gift! All of the proceeds from this game will go towards supporting HOPe’s mission, making the effects of the night even more memorable.
