Kim Comart

Interim Executive Director

Kim Comart is the principal of Comart & Associates, a management consulting firm for community-based organizations, private and corporate foundations, United Ways and government agencies in the areas of program and organizational development, interim management, strategic planning, fundraising, grantmaking, board development, evaluation, and mergers. Before starting a consulting business in 1995, Kim worked for six years at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay in Boston, where he served as Vice President for Community Investments. Prior to his service at the United Way, Kim worked in Massachusetts state government, electoral politics and public interest law. Kim received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He lives in Newton and Falmouth, Massachusetts.


Mary O'Toole

Children's Program Director and Overnight Respite Supervisor

Mary is the Children's Program Director and Overnight Respite Supervisor. Mary has served 40 years working with children with disabilities. She has also worked at the Massachusetts Hospital School as a Program Manager Specialist, and had been there for 32 years. She is MAP certified and is able to administer medicine. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's degree in Health Sciences.

Sheila Downing-Ruth

Assistant Director of Children’s Programs

Sheila is the Children's Program Assistant Director for HOPe ONR at the House of Possibilities. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous position at the Massachusetts Hospital School where she worked as an Occupational Therapy Aid for a number of years.

Gregory Treadwell

Adult Program Director

Greg is the Adult Program Director for HOPe. Greg has fifteen years of experience in the Human Services field and brings a wealth of knowledge to HOPe. He previously worked at the GW-Arc as Chief Program Director. Greg is a graduate of California State University and holds certifications in Non-Profit Management.

Colleen Doogan

Health Care Supervisor


Colleen is the Registered Nurse / Health Care Supervisor at the House of Possibilities and oversees all the health care needs of clients in the day program including coordinating information with healthcare providers and maintaining client records. Prior to joining HOPe, Colleen was an Emergency Room nurse at Norwood Hospital and also spent a number of years there as a nurse in the Cardiac Unit. Colleen has spent some time at HOPe as an agency nurse and is very happy to join the HOPe team.
