Paula is the Founder and CEO at the House of Possibilities and is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic planning and fundraising initiatives where she is creating a new paradigm of support for families of individuals with disabilities. Paula brings over 30 years of experience in a number of professional positions which has enabled her to create from ground up the first model of its kind on a college campus in the United States. She previously provided consulting services to Dun & Bradstreet, worked as a controller for a private business, and was a marketing research analyst.

John Giusti

Executive Director

John is the Executive Director at the House of Possibilities and is responsible for the overall management of adult and children’s programs ensuring that each program meets the highest regulatory and licensing standards. He also oversees the planning, implementation, and assessment of services to ensure that client needs are met. John brings over 25 years of management experience. and previously served as the director at The Price Center’s Day Habilitation Program in Dedham, MA. He graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion.

Christine Sheedy

Children's Operations Manager

Christine is the Children's Operations Manager at the House of Possibilities. She assists the Executive Director with managing the Children's Programs. She is responsible for day-to-day communications with families, scheduling outings/special events, data tracking in the Children's Program, and planning and collaboration with lead staff. Christine brings over 20 years of combined business and special education experience to HOPe. Most recently, Christine assisted in social program development and the integration of children with developmental delays into sports and group activities. Christine holds a Masters of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Christopher S. Crider-Plonka

Lead Developmental Specialist

Chris is the Lead Developmental Specialist at the House of Possibilities. He is responsible for data tracking in the Adult Program and assists the Executive Director with goal development. For the past year, Chris has worked at HOPe as a Direct Care Provider before stepping into his current position. He has also worked with ICEI (Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative) at Bridgewater State University as an educational coach for students in need. Chris graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in Arts Administration – Theatre Management.

Lisa Giusti

Health Care Supervisor

Lisa is the Registered Nurse/Health Care Supervisor at the House of Possibilities and oversees all the health care needs of clients in the day program including coordinating information with healthcare providers and maintaining client records. Lisa brings over 15 years of healthcare experience and previously served as a physical therapy assistant at an organization serving adults with intellectual disabilities, as well as at an outpatient clinic and a skilled nursing facility.  She also works part-time as a nurse at High Point Treatment Center in Brockton, MA.  She graduated from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

Kristen DeSisto

Children’s Programs Supervisor - Adventure Club, Saturday Night Live, Vacation Week

Kristen is the Children's Program Supervisor leading Adventure Club, Saturday Night Live and Camp HOPe at the House of Possibilities. She has worked in multiple special education settings ranging from severe to mild disabilities and brought her experience to the House of Possibilities. Before directing programs, Kristen volunteered for two years at HOPe.Kristen is also a Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten to Second grade in Brookline, MA. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from St. Michael’s College and a Master of Teaching in Special Education from Curry College.

Shawnna Dearborn

Children's Program Supervisor - HOPe Club, FriendZone

Shawnna is the Children's Program Supervisor for HOPe Club and FriendZone at the House of Possibilities. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), First Aid, and CPR. Shawnna brings experience supervising and managing children’s development in the Norwell Public School system.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work graduating cum laude and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.

Mary O’Toole

Overnight Respite Supervisor

Mary is a valued Overnight Respite (ONR) Supervisor at the House of Possibilities. She leads the overnight respite program with over 17 years of experience in children's respite programs. She has served 40 years working with children with disabilities. Mary has also worked at the Massachusetts Hospital School as a Program Manager Specialist V, and has been there for 32 years. She is MAP certified and is able to administer medicine. Mary has an Associate’s Degree in early Childhood, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Special education and a Master’s in Health Sciences.

 

Erica Kilcoyne

Overnight Respite Supervisor

Erica is a dedicated Overnight Respite (ONR) Supervisor at the House of Possibilities. She is dedicated to children in all aspects of her life. Erica has over 20 years' experience working with children.  She owns and leads her own child care facility in West Bridgewater, MA, bringing her skills and multiple certifications with her to HOPe. In addition, Erica is MAP certified and can administer medication. Erica has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Nazarene College.
