Paula is the Founder and CEO at the House of Possibilities and is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic planning and fundraising initiatives where she is creating a new paradigm of support for families of individuals with disabilities. Paula brings over 30 years of experience in a number of professional positions which has enabled her to create from ground up the first model of its kind on a college campus in the United States. She previously provided consulting services to Dun & Bradstreet, worked as a controller for a private business, and was a marketing research analyst.

Christine Harte

Human Resources Director

Christine has five years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in the Human Services field. Christine completed both her under-graduate and post-graduate studies at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) in the field of Mathematics and Business Administration. Christine is also a certified High School teacher. In addition, she holds professional certifications in Human Resources.

Mary O'Toole

Children's Program Director and Overnight Respite Supervisor

Mary is the Children's Program Director and Overnight Respite Supervisor. Mary has served 40 years working with children with disabilities. She has also worked at the Massachusetts Hospital School as a Program Manager Specialist, and had been there for 32 years. She is MAP certified and is able to administer medicine. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's degree in Health Sciences.

Shawnna Dearborn

Assistant Director of Children’s Programs

Shawna is the Children's Program Assistant Director for HOPe Club and FriendZone at the House of Possibilities. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), First Aid and CPR. Shawna brings experience supervising and managing children's development in the Norwell Public School system. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work graduating cum laude, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.

Sheila Downing-Ruth

Assistant Director of Children’s Programs

Sheila is the Children's Program Assistant Director for HOPe ONR at the House of Possibilities. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous position at the Massachusetts Hospital School where she worked as an Occupational Therapy Aid for a number of years.

Gregory Treadwell

Adult Program Director

Greg is the Adult Program Director for HOPe. Greg has fifteen years of experience in the Human Services field and brings a wealth of knowledge to HOPe. He previously worked at the GW-Arc as Chief Program Director. Greg is a graduate of California State University and holds certifications in Non-Profit Management.

Colleen Doogan

Health Care Supervisor

Colleen is the Registered Nurse / Health Care Supervisor at the House of Possibilities and oversees all the health care needs of clients in the day program including coordinating information with healthcare providers and maintaining client records. Prior to joining HOPe, Colleen was an Emergency Room nurse at Norwood Hospital and also spent a number of years there as a nurse in the Cardiac Unit. Colleen has spent some time at HOPe as an agency nurse and is very happy to join the HOPe team.
