The House of Possibilities' goal is to provide support to families having "special" children, youth, and adults by providing respite services in a facility where children will be actively and meaningfully engaged.
Our Philosopy:
The philosophy of HOPe is that all guests, regardless of his or her special need, have the same desires and dreams. All people want to feel love, success, security, happiness, friendship, and respect. We are committed to reaching out to guests and families in our community by welcoming them into our home where they can relax, enjoy life and everyone will know their name. HOPe will provide a homelike setting that will be staffed by skilled people who are available to assist guests in the development of skills and increasing their enjoyment of life.
Population Served:
HOPe will run a wide range of programs that will welcome families and a variety of age groups with mental retardation, physical handicaps, learning disabilities, brain injury, and other developmental disabilities. Families we serve will have a wide range of physical, social and cognitive profiles.
Goals of the House of Possibilities:
- To build a state-of-the-art facility where children with disabilities will learn to be “the best that they can be.”
- To educate, involve, challenge, and inspire children to learn to live the most fulfilling, productive and happy lives possible.
- To develop an in-house recreational program centered around learning and having fun!
- To educate each child on daily living skills using the most advanced adaptive equipment available.
- To encourage social interaction with new friends in a comfortable homelike setting as well as in the community
