"H.O.P.E. is in My Heart"

On September 17th we had an amazing SNL party at HOPe. The theme was “Party in the U.S.A.” to remember 9/11. The plan was to dress in red, white & blue and to make cards and care packages for the guys in Afghanistan. This was a very special event for me because my husband is in the 182nd infantry and he is home for now. Most of his unit is in Afghanistan and so we were able to get their addresses and send the care packages to them. It was amazing to see the amount of things that the group donated to make these packages. The Saint Gerard’s group brought things as well and they were surprised at how much stuff we had, it was awesome. We asked everyone to bring one thing and some brought bags full of stuff. It was an amazing thing to watch our group make packages, cards and give back to the community. My husband, Sgt. David Busch, came to HOPe to volunteer as he does every month, but this time he wore his uniform for the special occasion. The gang loved to see Dave in his uniform. They all knew he was in the Army but it was cool watching them ask questions and get even more excited to make the care packages. The day after this party I went to the family day for the 182nd infantry (we’re half way there party). The families got together for a cookout and to celebrate the half way mark to when their loved ones return. I was completely moved by Saturday evening at HOPe and also Sunday with the families. God bless America and those who fight for this country. House of Possibilities helps me to remain grateful for today and hopeful for tomorrow. God I love this job! HOPe is in my heart.
I heard something really awesome the other day
H.O.P.E = “Hold On Peace Exists”
Where does HOPE exist in you life?
